Shows on the road !

•05/16/2009 • Leave a Comment

It’s been quite the drought in terms of work since i got off school. But after a great trip to orlando, and some few weeks off relaxing, playing some basketball ( at least once a week for a couple hours) with the boys, I have received the call from the ‘bosslady’. She has updated me with work to come and has got me quite excited. A couple of 2-day sessions coming up between now and the end of June. Also, Visual work thats done mainly on photoshop and Illustrator is apparently in demand from clients of ours, ie.Home Depot.  So I’m in the future going to be sitting down with execs and vp’s of companies taking in their ideas and turning them into images. Sounds fun, I’m super stoked and just cant wait to put this computer to real use.

Totally unrelated Check out this dude’s skill. Very cool, and well done.

Sheridan Career…Coming to a close.

•04/18/2009 • 1 Comment

Sheridan’s been great. Theres been a ton of negative and a good amount of good that can be said. I in fact, enjoy the positive. So with that being said, a big thanks to the people I’ve met and the intructors that have given me the chance and the inspiration to take my art to a whole new level. To my fellow 3rd yr VCA homies,We did it! Even though we all have our own aspirations and goals that will take us to new heights, lets hold our heads up high and enjoy the moment.

A bit of the last projects that I finished theyear with .

Artist Promo Package Video

An Oaktown 360.

•04/18/2009 • Leave a Comment

In a collaborated project with Digital Imagery and Media Tech. I was assigned an area with a group of 6 in Oakville place. Each of us were to draw 60 degrees so that once we were done, it could be stitched together to create a 360 degree panoramic image. We were then directed to take it into Photoshop, colourize, then run it through a program titled PANO2VR to create a quicktime Virtual Reality 360 movie. Something like the ones you see on Automotive websites where you can see a 360 view of an interior of the car.  Enough with the chatter, here’s the image I rendered. The video will be up soon.

Earth Hour? Lame.

Was in Toronto for what was unintentionally my first Earth Hour experience. Apparently it’s a big thing nowadays to turn off the lights where ever you are for the hour. I was there in Dundas Square for what happened to be THEE countdown. Sitting down on aluminum chairs, courtesy of the city, expecting a big blackout sort of thing (currently listening to Method Man & Redman album, Blackout) I notice, “wow it’s not as dark as I thought it would be.” The probably other 1000 people that were there thinking it was gonna be intense, should have had to have the same feeling as I. Lame. I got up, left, still being able to see where I going and not bumping into anybody. Actually there was a small kid that I pulled a shawn desman pose to move outta the way.  It was definitely bright enough for people to see me do that, how unfortunate.

StressThe end of the school year is coming to a close.  Suprisingly, I’m feeling a little bit sad about that. Why? Probably because now I got REAL work ahead of me. I know, I know, we all have to go through with it (  for those who are attending college, or any other institution for higher eduacation) but I guess it’s that feeling of letting go. Sort of like leaving high school, because you’re very excited to leave, but know that you’re somehow going to miss it. I guess that’s life huh? Just gotta go through it like floodwater through sandbags (Mighty MOS)

So to cap off the year, heres the list of projects that are due

( w/ their levels of difficulty from 1-4, 4 obv being the hardest )

Printmaking Project 2- Litho Plate Image [2]

Sculpture- Hybrid/Juxtapose Theme [3]

Independent Painting Project – Hip Hop Unity Theme [4]

Digital Media – Quicktime VR Creation[2]

Media Technology- 2 Minute Stop Motion Animation[3.5]

Professional Practice – Digital Portfolio Package[1.5]

Wish me Luck.

Stay tuned !
